For 32 years, Amal has conformed. On the eve of her birthday, this changes when she is rejected by a suitor. Now, there is no marriage prospect. Instead, her authoritative father issues an ultimatum: she finds another suitor, or he betroths her to her cousin.

Desperate, Amal goes to great lengths to find another suitor. Through her journey, we witness Amal's increasingly dissolving sense of self; she has to confront her family and society's expectations while trying to find an escape from an ill-fated marriage. Ultimately, Amal must reckon with the question: should we continue to conform or seek change, when that change can come at a high price?
